Sexual Vision for the New Year

Sexual Vision for the New Year

Last February, right around Valentine’s Day, I created my vision board.  So now, almost a year later, I have to report back:  It worked!  I usually wait two or three years for a vision board to do its thing, but this time, the year has been a whirlwind of receiving so much of what I envisioned and welcomed into my life.

A slightly different take on this manifesting tool is a Sexual Vision Board.  This is a collage of images, words, and affirmations that represent your sexual desires and goals.  Creating a sexual vision board can be a fun and empowering way to explore your erotic nature, discover your sexual style, and manifest your sexual desires.

First, take some time to explore what it is you want.

Determine Your Sexual Style

To do this, I recommend taking the in-depth quiz here, as it will give you a full report of what your sexual style is.  (The in-depth quiz was under $20 when I took it, and well worth the cost.  But there’s also a free shorter version too.)

Bring to Mind Your Peak Sexual Experience

Secondly, I recommend spending some time exploring your peak sexual experience. Think back over all your sexual experiences. Allow your mind to focus on one or two encounters that were among the most arousing. Try not to judge these encounters. Being turned on by what you may perceive as a “negative” feeling in a sexual encounter is completely normal.

If you haven’t had what you’d consider to be a peak sexual experience, think back to scenes in movies or books that made you feel juicy.  Was it a scene in which a character was completely cherished by her lover?  Was it of a character being rescued and cared for?  Or a character being able to surrender completely?

Thinking about these remembered scenes can help us tap into our core desires.  For more on this subject, I highly recommend taking my course, Reclaim Your Desire, in which I spend a whole module helping you explore your core desires and understand why these things turn you on, and why tapping into this knowledge can help you re-awaken your sex life.

Create Your Sexual Vision Board

Next, find a space where you feel comfortable and free to express yourself. Gather a selection of magazines, images, and words that resonate with your sexual desires and goals.  Also gather scissors, a board (a wood-framed canvas works well, as does foam-backed poster board), and some glue.

You may want to include pictures of people or activities that turn you on, as well as affirmations or phrases that speak to your sexual desires and intentions.  If your sexual desires include spicier items like BDSM accoutrements, you may have to go online and print off pictures that represent your desires.

As you begin to create your sexual vision board, allow yourself to be guided by your intuition and feelings. Don’t worry about whether or not your desires are “normal” or “socially acceptable.” The goal of a sexual vision board is to help you tap into your authentic sexual self and to manifest your desires, whatever they may be.

Once you have collected a range of images and words that resonate with your sexual desires, start to arrange them on your board.  You may want to include a variety of images and words, or you may choose to focus on a particular aspect of your sexual desires.  Use rubber cement or glue to affix the images and words to your board.

As you work on your sexual vision board, take some time to reflect on the images and words you have chosen.  What do they say about your sexual desires and goals?  How do they make you feel?  What do you hope to manifest through your sexual vision board?

Revision & Reflection

Once you have completed your sexual vision board, take some time to review it and make any necessary adjustments.  You may want to add or remove images and words as you continue to explore and refine your sexual desires.  Collage is forgiving; if you change your mind, just glue a new image over the old one.

Overall, creating a sexual vision board can be a powerful tool for exploring and manifesting your sexual desires. It can help you tap into your authentic sexual self and bring your sexual desires to life.  So why wait?  Get started on your sexual vision board today and start manifesting your sexual desires!
