Please note that we are not set up to assist in emergencies. Online support may not be appropriate for everyone and we can not support you if you are actively suicidal.

If you need to speak with someone immediately, we have partnered with The Trauma Intervention Program of Western North Carolina, a group of specially trained volunteers that provides emotional support for first responders and families dealing with Covid-19. They can be reached at 828-513-0498.

How It Works

Please review the list of providers websites and contact the provider directly. It is important to mention Care for Corona in your initial contact. Even if the website says they are not taking new clients, contact them anyway since they have all agreed to participate in Care for Corona.

The provider and you will discuss the length of your session and the duration of support available at no cost. Every provider has agreed to offer at least one free session and some may offer multiple sessions.

Your provider will discuss the online platform they use and will send you the necessary information.

After meeting for the designated number of sessions, you will both determine whether or not to continue as well as financial options for future sessions.
